Why I'm excited for DTS!

Jen and Andrew here! Your school leaders. We're super excited about this upcoming DTS and working hard to make sure everything is ready for you. We hope that this season will be a time of learning and growing together while sharing the love of Christ with each other, our world, locally and globally. We're looking forward to getting to meet each of you!

Why I'm excited for DTS!

Hey guys, I’m Jake. I am getting so pumped for the upcoming DTS with you guys! I am stoked to meet all of you, as I have been talking to you on the phone, and adding you on Facebook, it’s been great to see who you are. I feel like God has huge plans and ideas for this school and each and every one of you. I know that He has called each of you to be in this school, during this season, and under us staff. The fact that He has called us for this is exciting, it is always stirring to be doing God’s work, and know it is His will.

So God is really placing a few things on my heart for this school that Im getting excited for. I am really eager to see what God does in your lives. Also, to see what God is going to do through you guys here in Colorado and wherever your Outreach location is. Just overall I really believe that the Lord has big big plans for us with this Justice DTS. I think it is going to be significant in the history of our base in Colorado Springs, and it is going to impact each of our lives deeply, even us staff. So just the potential of what God is planning on, is very very exciting.

Why I'm excited for DTS!

My name is Sarah and I am on staff for the fall 2008 justice focused DTS. I am so excited for everything that is going to happen these next few months! My heart is for God's children to all know the value they have and how precious they are in the eyes of the Lord. I think of Zechariah 9:16 ("On that day the Lord their God will rescue his people, just as a shepherd rescues his sheep. They will sparkle in his land like jewels in a crown." NLT) and it reminds me that each child is just that-a sparkle in the crown of God and deserving of the upmost honor and respect. Injustice in the lives of God's children is something that deserves our attention!

I know that God has a divine purpose for each and every person staffing and attending this school. I know that he is going to use us in huge ways to reach the nations and I know that God's heart for the brokenhearted will be revealed to us more as we dive in and dig deeper. I'm so excited to see how God uses us to touch the hearts of the refugees, the orphans and all the other people we meet...I'm excited to see how each of us play a role in advancing the kingdom of God!

Here at YWAM Strategic Frontiers in Colorado Springs we've created a blog for our Fall '08 DTS students to be able to tell the stories of what they're learning.

Classes start on September 11th, so until then we'll be having DTS staff write and tell you guys about all the reasons we're excited about having you!
